Gather all your family and friends around a warm fire by choosing Nicolock Paving Stones for a wood-burning or gas outdoor fire pit using our premium pavers.

Outdoor Fire Pits

If you want to enjoy a backyard fire but don’t have a huge backyard, an outdoor fire pit from Nicolock Paving Stones is a smart and stylish choice. These heavy-duty fire pits can be placed on a patio or in the middle of the yard to keep guests warm after the sun goes down. They’re built to the same high standards as our outdoor fireplaces while taking up much less space.

Modular Fire Pits, Smoke-less Fire Pits & More

We offer more than a dozen ways to create outdoor fire pits that add warmth and style. Modular outdoor fire pits with wood-burning capabilities provide the unique scent and ambiance of nature. Smoke-less outdoor fire pits also use wood but capture the smoke and reburn it for better efficiency and less lung irritation. You also can get natural gas fire pits for outdoor use or an outdoor propane fire pit that requires less maintenance. Many kits can be built to any burn type — just let your local dealer know what package you want.

Build a Fire Pit Outdoors

Our fire pits come in many shapes and sizes, including traditional round fire pits, square fire pits and compact fire bowls. Most packages, such as the Belvedere backyard fire pit, are complete kits that include paver stones in your choice of color pattern, a metal insert and coping. Other freestanding fire pits just have the metal insert, allowing you to use them as-is or select a paver style to surround the pit. You can even get a fire pit with a sear cooking surface. Choose the design that speaks to you and enjoy a warm backyard glow anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the safety considerations when using a fire pit?

When using a fire pit, keeping the area around the fire free of debris and combustible materials such as leaves or paper is important. Additionally, always ensure that the fire is supervised by an adult at all times and that any children in the vicinity are kept away from the flames.

What type of fuel is best for my fire pit?

The best type of fuel for a fire pit would depend on what you plan to use it for; generally, wood is recommended for most outdoor fire pits, but charcoal can also be used if desired. Select models may use wood pellets or other specialty fuels.

What type of fire pit gives off the most heat?

Wood-burning fire pits give off the most heat. Specifically, wood-burning fire pits that sit low to the ground and feature openings in the sides. Wood burns hotter than gas, making it a better choice for producing heat.

How do I extinguish a fire in my fire pit safely?

To extinguish a fire in your fire pit safely, douse it with plenty of water until no smoke or embers remain visible. Allow the ashes to cool completely before disposing of them properly.

Are there any restrictions on using a fire pit in my area?

It’s possible that there may be restrictions on using a fire pit in certain areas depending on local laws and regulations; check with your local municipality for more information about this. Additionally, using a fire pit may be prohibited during droughts and under certain weather conditions.

How can I maintain and clean my fire pit regularly?

To maintain and clean your fire pit regularly, scrape out any remaining ash buildup after each use and cover it with a waterproof tarp when not in use to prevent rusting or other damage caused by weather exposure. Consult your owner’s manual for additional maintenance recommendations.
